Pig’n’aif’s 2007 album is a solo album written and performed by Pete Bangert on the Rising Records label. This album brings together some overdue material as well as some new material specifically written for the album. Once again the material spans rock genres with the tracks varying from the (sort of) title track ‘The Jester’, an extremely bouncy mediaeval-based jig, through the melodic rock songs of ‘Lady of the Song’ and ‘Stolen Moments’, to blues/jazz-rock based numbers like ‘Down’n’Out’ and ‘Gotta Be Jokin’’ and onto the progressive rock number ‘Genus Holbytla’. The track ‘The Jester’ is available in the Media Page of this web site along with the demo video for the track. All versions of Pignaif above included Steve Atkinson and Pete Bangert. Mk's II and III included Dave Hobson (bass) and Mk III included Tim Evans (drums) and Roy Leckey (vocals).Tracks were recorded variously in Steve's studio, Oughtibridge Silver Prize Band Rehearsal Studios (or 'The Hut' as it may be more accurately known) and Pete's Home studios between 1969 and 1980. All items were 'Engineered and Produced' by Steve and Pete on various 'noddy' pieces of equipment ranging from handheld tapes to Akai and TEAC semi-pro gear. The surviving tapes were in a poor state so re-edit and transfer to CD was perpetrated by Pete. This was a very limited distribution and not for resale.

This is Pig’n’aif’s first release recorded in Sheffield in 1974 published in cassette format only. The musicians involved are Steve Atkinson (guitar, organ, piano), Dave Hobson (bass, vocals) and Pete Bangert (guitar vocals).
Tracks are: Ciretose (Atkinson), Ditto The Two (Atkinson, Bangert, Hobson) and Cycles (Bangert). Tracks 1 and 2 are extended prog-rock numbers and track 3 is a melodic rock ballad
